Favorite Makeup Removing Wipes

Hello Gorgeous,

No matter what makeup I have on, many times the best part of my routine is taking all of the makeup off.  For a long time, I would just wash my face and go to sleep.  I never realized how much makeup was left on my skin after doing this.

When I started to become more educated about makeup and skincare, I realized that I needed to invest in makeup removing wipes.  After trying brand after brand, I finally found ones that I love and can't live without.  The Garnier Refreshing Remover Cleansing Towelettes are the absolute best makeup removing wipes I have ever used.
I love these wipes because they actually leave my skin feeling clean.  Many makeup removing wipes seem to leave a greasy residue on my face, and these do not.  They are also great at removing eye makeup, which is no small task!

When I use these wipes consistently, I am able to notice a difference in my skin when I use them and then cleanse my face afterwards.  These makeup removing wipes are super moist, and work amazingly to take makeup off as they have grape water extract!  I highly recommend using these wipes, give them a try!

What makeup removing wipes do you use?  Leave a comment below, as I would love to hear from you!

Have a great day, and I will talk to you very soon!

Favorite Flat Iron

Hello Gorgeous!

As a naturally curly haired girl, I have had to find the right flat iron that works with my hair to create a sleek and straight look.

Over the years I have purchased and used many flat irons, that just haven't made the cut.  I have found that initially, the flat irons do straighten my hair, but after an hour or two, my hair would turn wavy and frizzy.

Many years back, I discovered the Ultra Chi Flat Iron.  When I bought this, probably five or six years back, it was around $120.  Currently, at Ulta, this flat iron is on sale for $89.95.  Now, that may seem like quite the splurge, but this flat iron has much outlasted the $120 my Mom once spent on it.  I probably use this tool almost daily in some way, shape, or form.  Also, the flat iron is still working amazing after five or six years, and I don't see it breaking anytime soon.
I notice the straightness of my hair lasts at least two days, and I feel it adds shine to my hair due to the ceramic plates.  I feel as a whole, this product is amazing and I highly recommend it.

"A Chi straightner is a quality product.  I have had the one I am currently using for close to eight years. I will never purchase any other brand of flat iron," said Channing, a friend of mine.  And honestly, I feel the same way.

Would I feel differently if I had naturally straight hair?  Maybe.  Maybe if your hair is naturally straight, you might not need a flat iron of this magnitude, I'm not sure because as I said, my hair is curly!

I use this to straighten, and curl my hair, so I see it as multi purpose and 100% worth the money.

What kind of flat iron do you use?  Do you own a Chi?  Leave a comment below, as I would love to hear from you!

Best Drugstore Under Eye Concealer

Hello Gorgeous!

Do you suffer from dark under eye circles?  I do!  This is extremely true after pulling an all nighter for my college classes!  Upon a recommendation from a friend, I purchased the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer  in the brightening shade.
I bought this concealer per the recommendation of a person I watch on YouTube, (MakeupByTiffanyD, you guys should check her out!) a couple years back, and I have been using it ever since.

The brightening shade of this concealer helps to mask my under eye circles, and it helps to add a little glow to my face!  I also use this concealer down the bridge of my nose sometimes, when I am looking for a more contoured look.

I have never tried any other shade then the brightening one, but my friend Maria actually does.  "I use this concealer in the "light" shade currently, and I love it.  It is a creamy but light consistency, and it matches my skin perfectly.  I can't see why I will ever need to buy a different kind of concealer," she said.

Overall guys, this stuff is pretty great, and even better if you are makeup shopping on a budget.  The last time I picked this up at Ulta, I paid around $6 for it.  Steal, if you ask me!

Have you ever tried this concealer?  Leave a comment below, as I would love to hear from you!

Have a great day, and I will talk to you very soon!

Favorite NEW Eyeshadow Palette

Hello Gorgeous!

Over the weekend, I headed to my local Ulta and picked up a new eyeshaow palette, The Too Faced Natural Matte Palette.  I got the chance to start using it shortly after I bought it, and have been using it every day since.  As I said before when talking about eyeshadow palettes, I love matte palettes.  I love how natural they look, and I feel they can help to create a more professional look.  This palette goes for $36.00 at Ulta.

I bought this palette at the recommendation of my best friend Sam.  She purchased this palette a few weeks back, and has been loving the eye looks she has been achieving with it, "I own a couple of matte eye palettes and this one is my favorite.  The "lace teddy" color looks amazing all over the lid, and I pair it with the "cashmere bunny" in the crease.  I am so happy with this purchase," she said.

The thing I like most about this palette is that it is easy to transform a daytime eye look into a night time eye look.  There are light colors as well as dark to achieve this look.  I am a person who prefers more pink toned eyeshadows, so the matte colors in this palette really worked for me.

The shades in this palette are ultra blend-able, and I feel will work well with many skin tones.  Unlike other matte shadows, these are not chalky.  These colors are creamy and work really well together.  Too Faced really did a great job formulating these eyeshadows, and I am one happy camper to own them!

Have you seen or tried this palette yet?!  Leave a comment below as I would love to hear from you!

Have a great day, and I will talk to you very soon!

Dry Shampoo

Hello Gorgeous!

How do you feel about dry shampoo?  I was totally not into it until I splurged on a more high end product, and now I feel as if I can't go without it.

The Kenra Professional Platinum Dry Shampoo refreshes, cleans, and revitalizes hair with each spray one uses.  This product retails for $22.00 at Ulta, and if you are someone like me who washes your hair every other day (it takes me a good hour to blow dry and straighten my hair, so when I do that, I want it to last for more than one day), a dry shampoo would be a good investment for you.

The Kenra Dry Shampoo is the best one I have tried yet.  I have used drugstore alternatives, and to be honest, they are awful.  You get what you pay for with this stuff.  The Kenra dry shampoo absorbs the excess oils in my hair, without weighing it down.  I have also noticed that it adds a considerable amount of volume to my hair.

When you use dry shampoo, it is important to remember that after spraying it into the roots of your sectioned off hair, you have to massage it into your scalp for a bit.  This helps to work the product in, and leaves your style looking fresh.

Overall, dry shampoo is a product to invest in.  The drugstore versions are just not as good, so don't waste your time!

Do you use dry shampoo?  Have you used a drugstore version that works for you?  Leave a comment below, as I would love to hear from you!

Two Favorite Springtime Nail Polishes

Hello Gorgeous!

This Spring, I have been jumping between two Essie nail polishes that I have been getting great compliments on, Essie Lilacism and Essie Butler Please.  Lilacism is a soft purple, that is just perfect for Spring.  Butler Please is an edgy cobalt blue, that provides Springtime brightness.

If you have an event and are looking for a good color for a Springtime mani, I suggest the Lilacism.  This color is not over powering, but is still feminine and pretty for this time of year.  Let's be honest, who doesn't love a good lilac color?!
If you are a student and looking for a fun everyday color, Butler Please is for you.  This color is bright and different.  I like this color for that reason.  Not many people have this color, and it is such a fun color to have!  My best friend Maria showed me this color, "I love this cobalt blue.  It pops off of your nails, and I have gotten so many compliments on it," she said.
It is always fun to give yourself, or get a manicure done for Spring!  We are coming out of Winter, where dark and dull colors are the norm.  It is fun to take something light and bright, and use it all over your nails!

What are your favorite Springtime nail polish colors?  Leave a comment below, as I would love to hear from you!

Have a great day and I will talk to you very soon!

Blush

Hello Gorgeous!

Let's talk blush!

If I am being honest, I am not typically a blush wearing person.  I know wearing blush helps to add some pinkness back into the cheeks after one applies foundation, but for the longest time, I was unable to find a blush that I truly liked.

I recently spent a bunch of money at Ulta, and purchased this little palette that has three products in one.  The Urban Decay Naked Flushed provides users with a bronzer, blush, and highlighter all in one.  I figured by purchasing this product, if I didn't like the blush, I would still at least have two other products to use.  This palette retails for $32.00 at Ulta.

I purchased this palette in the shade "Naked".  This palette provides a nice medium toned bronzer, a medium toned pink blush, and a gorgeous highlight shade.  I have to say, I am throughly impressed with each and every product in this palette.

I am extremely pale right now, so the bronzer is a tad darker than what I would like. That being said, in a couple of months when Summer is in full swing, I know I will be using this daily.  The blush is beautiful and not over the top.  It adds the perfect amount of pinkness, without being too bright.  Before owning this palette, I have never owned any sort of highlighting face product.  Shame on me, because this stuff is awesome.  I put it just above my blush to give a dewey glow, and it looks flawless.

Needless to say, I am very impressed and in love with the Naked Flushed palette, and find it to be totally worth the money for all three full sized products inside.

Have you every tried the Naked Flushed?  Leave a comment below, as I would love to hear from you!

Best Lip Balms

Hello Gorgeous!

Lip balms!!  Everyone has them... multiples even if you are anything like me!  I have so many lip balms, I would basically consider myself an expert!  I tend to loose them, buy another, and then find the one I lost.  Each time, I buy something different in hopes of finding the a new favorite!

Nivea With A Kiss Of Milk & Honey Soothing Lip Care is my favorite.  This makes my lips soft and supple, and it brought them a great deal of relief during the winter months.  This lip balm lasts forever, and is a steal at $2.99.  If you are in need of hydrating your lips, this stuff will definitely do the job.

Eos Smooth Sphere Lip Balm is another favorite of mine.  I have this in the flavor Summer Fruit and it really works.  I was skeptical to try this, so I didn't buy it for a long time.  When I did, I was able to notice a difference in my lips.  The dry cracks were quickly moistened with this product, and I would highly recommend it.  This lip balm retails for around $3.50
Burt's Bees Beeswax Lip Balm  is both and oldie and a goodie.  I feel like everyone loves Burt's Bees, and I am no exception.  This lip balm makes your lips tingle due to the peppermint that is infused into it.  This helped to soothe my dry and cracked lips all winter long.  I always keep this handy.  You can find this at the drugstore for around $3.50.

Those are my three favorite lip balms!  Do you have any lip balms that you like and work for you?  If so, leave a comment below as I would love to hear from you!

Have a great day and I will talk to you very soon!

Favorite Matte Powder

Hello Gorgeous,

I wanted to tell you guys about my favorite matte powder.  The Maybelline Fit Me Matte+Poreless Powder.

During the Summer, my skin is quite oily in the T-zone area.  I apply this powder in the shade "Translucent" over top of my foundation in order to keep the oily areas of my face as matte as possible. Another thing I really like about this powder is that it really does help to conceal my pores.  Though I do not have crazy large pores, this powder helps to make then virtually unnoticeable.

This powder does not clog my pores, or break my skin out.  I bought this powder for my sister, as she was having problems keeping her nose and chin matte, she also loves it.  "The matte and poreless powder has been great for my oily skin.  I used it throughout the Winter months and I found it made my foundation look more natural.  I would recommend using this to people with oily skin," my sister Katie said.

I find it is always better to get powder in a translucent shade, as opposed to trying to match it to your skin tone because it will blend in so much better with all of your other makeup.  It's usually always a good idea to set liquid foundation and concealer with a good powder.  If your skin is the slightest bit oily, or you want to cover up some larger pores, The Fit Me Matte+Poreless is a good option for you!

Have you ever tried this powder?  What is your favorite powder to use?  Leave a comment below, as I would love to hear from you!

Clarisonic Skin Cleansing System

Hello Gorgeous!

Today I wanted to talk about the Clarisonic skin cleansing system.  I got one of these facial cleansing brushes about five months ago, and I haven't been able to not use it since.
The Clarisonic provides a gentle brush that pulses on the skin to deep clean by clearing breakouts and exfoliating all at the same time.  There are a few different types of devices, and many different brush heads that attach to each device.

I have the Clarisonic Mia 2, and I use the acne brush head with it.  These brushes are designed for daily use, but I generally use mine every other day, just to make sure I don't over exfoliate.  I got this because my friend Channing has had one for years and she recommended it to me to help my dry skin.  "I use my brush about four times a week, and it is amazing.  I would recommend it to everyone," she said.

I use this with my everyday cleanser, and it works perfectly to combat my breakouts and make my skin smooth.  The Mia 2 has two brush speeds, is rechargeable, and is waterproof so you can take it in the shower with you!  I love this product, and find it to be totally worth its $149 price tag.

Do you own a Clarisonic?  Have you ever used one before?  Leave a comment below, as I would love to hear from you!

Have a great day, and I will talk to you very soon!

Curly Hair Products

Hello Gorgeous!

I want to talk to you guys about some of my favorite curly hair products that are on the market!

I personally like my natural curls to look soft and defined.  To achieve this goal, I use a few products together, and they are all quite affordable.

The first product I want to talk about is Herbal Essences Totally Twisted Mousse.  This product is about $3.50 at any drugstore, and helps provide hair with a soft and tussled look!  For the price, you really can't beat it.
The next product that I use on a regular basis is the Matrix Curl Contouring Lotion.  This is sold at Ulta for around $16, and while expensive, it is a great product.  This curl lotion nourishes leaves my hair feeling moisturized and the curls feeling soft.  I use this prior to adding the Herbal Essences mousse, and together they work great!
The last product I use when keeping my hair natural is a light hold hairspray.  The one I like best is the Garnier Fructis Volumizing Anti-Humidity Hairspray.  This product is sold at both the drugstore and Ulta for around $3.  I love this stuff.  It has a strong hold on curls without causing them to be crunchy, making it feel ultra light.  I love this hairspray and use it all the time.  Plus, it smells good!
What are your favorite curly hair products? Leave a comment below, as I would love to hear from you!
